Live From Liverpool
Sector - Leisure / Lifestyle
Writer credits - company name and copy
Some might think that Liverpool had its heyday in the 1960’s. Others believe that the place was never the same before Cream. Well now, whatever your taste, you can experience the best of both worlds courtesy of LiveFromLiverpool.
Second Life is a global phenomenon. It attracts eight and a half million users globally, every day. LiveFromLiverpool have created this city, within Second Life and made it the most visited city in the whole of this virtual world. LiveFromLiverpool have cherry picked the very best that Liverpool has to offer, so virtual tourists from all over the globe can get closer than ever before to the Liverpool experience.
And this isn’t a website. It is an experience. There are art galleries, bars, luxury apartments for sale (even in virtual reality nobody buys plain old flats any more). They are all built to scale and ready to be explored.
You can buy clothing for your virtual self - and the same for you actual self, as long as the shopkeeper has an e-commerce sight linked up – and this is the driving force. Money makes the virtual world go around as well.
Visitors to LiveFromLiverpool buy Beatles merchandise, pay to attend gigs in The Barfly and see their favourite DJs at Cream. LiveFromLiverpool are already clocking up around 200,000 visitor minutes every day so the opportunities for local organisations are huge.

Promoting Good Health
Aigburth Physiotherapy Clinic is one of Merseyside’s leading physiotherapy practices. The practice has been operating in the are since 1992, offering a comprehensive range of treatments to individuals and corporate clients.
Employers, are all of your employees present and correct?
They may be present but most pain-related lost productive time actually occurs while employees are at work, in the form of reduced performance. This concept has been termed ‘presenteeism’ and is increasingly being recognised as a serious problem.
How will occupational health planning help me to save money?
• Fewer days off = more money earned! We can help you to reduce absence rates and recovery times
• Value your staff and they will reward you. An increase in morale will lead to an increase in retention
• We know your time is valuable, that’s why we come to you. On-site physiotherapy means less time spent travelling to and from hospitals and doctors
Now Take Control
• Promote optimum health for life
• Increase productive performance
• Reduce absenteeism and presenteeism
Aigburth Physiotherapy make it easy for you to protect your employees from injury. We will attend your workplace to carry out assessments on the working environment and repetitive handling operations. We will help you to develop an Occupational Health Plan for your employees and we will make a commitment to helping you deliver it.
You can ask our advice on existing problems. We will do everything we can to work around you, causing minimal disruption to your working day. And it doesn’t have to cost the earth – most recommended changes are small and easy to implement.

Pantheon Property Services

Creativity and Customer Care In a Crisis!
At the moment, when everyone who works in property, owns property or, indeed, just lives in a property (!) is exuding doom and gloom, it seems positively obscene to be upbeat about the property sector.
I was in a recent meeting with a mortgage advisor who actually lowered her voice to say that business was booming, as though embarrassed to go against the grain and admit such a controversial fact! If you dig a little deeper you’ll find that she’s not the only one bucking the trend. Pantheon Property Services, Downtown’s latest DT100 member, has actually undergone a recent expansion and the company is not afraid to shout about its secrets to success.
Pantheon has owned and managed a portfolio of properties in Liverpool for many years so when, in July, Pantheon began to let and manage properties on behalf of other people it was already a well established landlord. Danny McKeown, Lettings Manager said “Our level of service is what distinguishes us. We look after other people’s property in exactly the same way as we do our own. In that respect, we are the landlord’s landlord.”
Admittedly, people are finding it difficult to remortgage at the moment. When a tenant moves on, it can be difficult for landlords to find the funds to refurbish and fill the property again. Pantheon offer an alternative. With a maintenance staff and a fully let portfolio, Pantheon can assist landlords with refurbishment works and find quality tenants, using the resulting rental income to offset costs.
So all is not lost. Nobody can deny that the property market has altered dramatically in the past 12 months but the message should be that people are still doing business and the market is still there. Companies, like Pantheon Property Services and others, who are using a bit of creative flare to get through the crisis shouldn’t be afraid to say so.
